The NYPD made Paul McCartney an honorary detective last Friday in recognition of his support during the September 11th tragedy. I'm a huge Beatles fan, but doesn't this sound a bit strange? It's not quite like being knighted - being a NYPD detective seems like it'd be a bit more work.
