A fourteen-minute Beatles song from the Sgt. Pepper's Lonely Hearts Club Band sessions will be used in the soundtrack to an upcoming film based on pictures taken of the band by Linda McCartney. According to the London Times, "Carnival of Light" is a largely instrumental track punctuated by church organ music. Paul McCartney had reportedly wanted to include the song on one of the Anthology albums, but the idea was nixed by George Harrison... There's more on that story at RollingStone.Com. In other Beatles news, John Lennon's 1973 album, Mind Games, will be remastered and reissued on October 8th with three bonus tracks and new liner notes featuring previously unseen drawings.
