The Cardigans plan to release a new single next summer followed by an album in the autumn of 2002. Songwriter Peter Svensson has already written music for about 15 songs but the band have decided not to record with producer Tore Johansson this time, and are currently on the lookout for possible collaborators. Meanwhile, bass player and songwriter Magnus Sveningsson will release a solo album titled 'I Sing Because Of You' under the name 'Righteous Boy' in January.
