Yoshimi will not win

I know that we told you that The Flaming Lips would be releasing a commercial version of their promotional disc Yoshimi Wins!, a collection of live tracks, but it appears that those plans have been nixed (according to Pitchfork). Fortunately the band is going to release "Yoshimi Battles The Pink Robots, Part 1" as their next single. There's already a video that you can watch here and there are plans for 2 singles and a DVD to be released this coming Tuesday (overseas of course.. fire up Amazon UK or Siren CD to order them).
