Could The Knot Slip?

Joey Jordinson, drummer for the Slipknot throng, recently spoke to Rolling Stone about the band's follow-up to 2001's Iowa, which is expected late next year. Jordinson stated: "It's pretty fucking brutal still... Slipknot has the Slayer mentality: You know exactly what you're getting into when you buy our fucking record." Also addressed in the interview were rumors about the longevity of the group: "Each album is a progression from the last -- something's heavier, or there's something a little more twisted or atmospheric about the new one than the last. But there's gonna be a limit to how far we can go with it." The group is expected to begin work on the album in early 2003.
