Seems that Fountains of Wayne have been recruited to become animated characters in a cartoon series still in development for VH1. If the show is picked up, the band will provide the theme song and have several mini-videos per episode. The band is writing a third album, though no details exist as of yet, except that it won't be released on Atlantic Records - since they were dropped from the roster awhile ago.
