Marilyn Manson has announced the completion of his latest album, The Golden Age of the Grotesque. In his usual, over-the-top fashion, he posted the following on his website: "Today I learned how not to play saxophone. I even drummed on the title track of the album... I recorded [fellow bandmembers] Pogo, John5, and Skold chanting two-letter words. We are moving 13 songs to a mix studio this week to make our final descent, so please raise your seatbacks and tray tables." The album is expected in the fall, but no formal release date has been set.
