Crows Can't Eat Candy, They'll Choke On It

Counting Crows, or should I say Geffen Records, is almost ready to release the group's first album in three years, tentatively titled Hard Candy. Producer Steve Lillywhite was brought in to work with the Crows on the 13-track record. In a recent interview with Billboard.com, frontman Adam Duritz had this to say: "Sometimes I feel like writing eight-minute songs. And on this album, I was really obsessed with great, perfect pieces." It has also been reported that the Crows recorded nearly the same amount of cover tunes during their studio time. They might see the light of day as a bonus disc, but most likely they will be included as the b-sides of singles.
