Nick Drake's Silver Screen Debut

Reported by heyrevolver

A film, based on Nick Drake, titled A Skin Too Few: The Days of Nick Drake, was recently completed by director Jeroen Berkvens and is being shown all over England. It's basically a documentary combining shots of rural imagery with rare home movies and audio tapes, which recreates the obscure, yet influential musician. Berkvens had a difficult time making the documentary: "It took a while because not only is there no moving footage, but everything was kind of absent. His parents had both died, the house was sold ... the absence of everything transferred from a disadvantage to an advantage in my mind. [Nick] was invisible and hard to grasp, so that was the basis on which I started the script." To read more about the movie and how to see in the US, go to its website.
