United Nations Honors Alanis

Reported by simple

Friends of the United Nations will honor Alanis Morissette with a Global Tolerance Award on Dec. 11th in NY. According to the organization, Morissette is being recognized for her outstanding contributions to promote tolerance through her music, citing the singer's involvement with Music Without Borders, Seattle's Groundwork 2001, and her treks to Cuba, the Middle East, and Eastern Europe in the summer of 2000. Morissette ended that trip with a special acoustic performance at the Museum of Tolerance in Los Angeles.
