Creating the D

Reported by erun

An update on that "Tenacious D being in a movie" story. According to the band's website (maintained by Lee), Liam Lynch (Sifl & Olly) will be directing, and the script will be written by Jack, Kyle & Lynch. The movie will be produced by Jack and Kyle. The plot is said to be a "creation" story based on how Tenacious D became the greatest band on Earth. Or is this just a tribute?

Everyone's favorite summer festival tour, Ozzfest, will return this year (I'm hiding my excitement). Here's who'll be on the mainstage: Ozzy Osbourne, Korn, Marilyn Manson, Disturbed, Chevelle. Here's who'll be on the second stage: TRUSTcompany, Cradle Of Filth, Shadows Fall, Killswitch Engage, finger eleven, Nothingface, Hotwire, Grade 8, Twisted Method, Ünloco, and Memento. I know you are all upset that Kelly Osbourne isn't on the bill, but fear not... more acts will surely be named in the future. 'More' for dates.

In another display of ragged posthumus exhuming, there will be a "Driven" (y'know, the VH1 show where friends and teachers, et. al. of the celebrity tell the "true story") episode on Nirvana cornerstone Kurt Cobain this Sunday. It's naff, but many are interested, eh?
