Just Make Sure It's Grüvis

Reported by heyrevolver

Grüvis Malt have finished up tracking instruments for their follow-up to 2002's ...with the spirit of a traffic jam. At the end of last week, they were heading back into a Providence, RI studio to track the vocals. The album is expected out later this year, either independently or on small label (they aren't sure). If you'd like small taste of what's to come, you can head over to the band's website and download the album teaser. Also, the band will be playing one show next month on June 6th at Cranston Highschool East (where the band first performed) to try and raise money to save the music department.

Let Down

Reported by heyrevolver

Bad news for those of you planning to attend the big Field Day Festival next month. Apparently, the festival, which was to have featured the likes of Radiohead, Beastie Boys, Beck, Sigur Ros, is in danger of being called becuase organizers have yet to secure the necessary permits. Gee, you think they'd take care of that stuff beforehand. Anyway, there is still hope that last minute negotiations will save the show, so it hasn't been officially cancelled yet. We'll keep you posted.
