Well, we've been hinting at the upcoming Bluebird EP for "Falling Back To Earth" for some time now. But, the wait is over, at least for UK fans. The boys will release their new EP on June 19th in the UK and Europe. The US release is expected some time in the fall. And, never to be a band to sit still too long, Bluebird are heading over to Japan later this month...

Sorry kids, no show

The Matt Groening 'curated' All Tomorrow's Parties Festival in LA has been postponed indefinitely. Originally scheduled to take place on June 20-22nd, the event is now roughly expected occur in the fall. 'Sluggish' ticket sales are blamed for the change of plans. Artists such as Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds, ...And You Will Know Us By the Trail of the Dead, The Breeders, Patti Smith, The Magic Band, and Yo La Tengo were to take part in the festival. Who knows what the lineup will look like if and when the festival is rescheduled? Only God.

According to McDonough Managment, Zack de la Rocha's solo album is being recorded & mixed by Dave Ogilvie and produced by Trent Reznor. We had a story that hinted at this a while ago, but this seems to be the official word.

Mudvayne In Your Soup

According to Epic, Mudvayne will release a DVD single for their latest single, "Not Falling". The DVD features the "Not Falling" music video in Dolby Digital 5.1 Surround Sound and includes a number of special features, including a version of the video with a commentary from Chad and the director, Dean Karr, a making of the video segment, extended performance footage, and an alternate "Blue Sphere" featurette.

The Used Get Sick

The Used have been forced to cancel their performances at radio station sponsored concerts in Detroit, Michigan on May 31st and Cleveland, Ohio scheduled for June 1st, due an undetermined ailment affecting singer Bert McCracken. The singer is being hospitalized this afternoon at a Salt Lake City area hospital for the treatment of the ailment, and not much more is known at this time.

Mark Lanegan chews your ear off

The details of the new Mark Lanegan solo album are slowly trickling in. While there is no set release date (expect a Fall release) it has been said that the title of the record will be Bubblegum and feature a ridiculous amount of guest artists (Queens Of The Stone Age, PJ Harvey, Dean Ween, Izzy and Duff from GNR, and Greg Dulli to name a few). A recently QOTSA newsletter provided this link to a snippet of one of his new songs entitled "Hit The City." We'll let you know more as we know it.

The Last Show He'll Ever Do

Perhaps you recall hearing that only a month before he died, Joe Strummer reunited on stage with his former Clash bandmate Mick Jones for the first time in twenty years (approximately). Well, since most weren't fortunate enough to witness the event live, we'll all have a second chance to catch it in the film The Last Night London Burned. This 35 minute documentary of the performance is slated to debut next month at Glastonbury and will undoubtedly be followed by plenty of future screenings.

Jeremy Ward Passes Away

According to Gold Standard Laboratories, Jeremy Ward of The Mars Volta and De Facto passed away as a result of an apparent drug overdose in his Los Angeles, CA area home on May 25th. He and the rest of The Mars Volta had just returned to L.A. for a week of rest between legs of their support tour with Red Hot Chili Pappers. Currently there are no more details on how this will affect the bands plans. Our thoughts go out to Jeremy's family and friends, and please people, lay off the drugs!

It seems the Black Eyed Peas will claw their way back into the limelight, no matter what the cost. As previously reported, BEP have recorded a single with Justin Timberlake, entitled "Where Is The Love?" Well, we've got streams of that song: Real Audio and Windows Media. Watch where you step, it's about to get mushy in here. Furthermore, BEP will head out on tour with Timbersnake and Ms. Dirrty Aguilera for the entire summer. What fun it will be to perform for a bunch of people that care nothing about your music for three months straight. Well, anyways, here are the dates...
