We have more details about the upcoming Azure Ray 3-song, CD single, "The Drinks We Drank Last Night", due on September 9th. The release will be backed with the non-album track "The Love of Two" and "We Are Mice (Bleed Version)," which is an alternate take of the album track. So, we just have the track listing, but that's more isn't it?

Our Lady Is Quick

It seems Our Lady Peace have quickly finished their follow-up to Gravity, with an OLP fansite reporting the band has "finished up about 15 songs and are just putting the finishing touches on their album." Since the band was in pre-production early last month, it seems OLP wish to capitalize on their newfound, mainstream US market. The new album is expected early-to-mid 2004.

Less Than Jake have posted online an animated video for their new single, "The Science Of Selling Yourself Short", from their latest album, Anthem. Currently, the band is finalizing plans for a tour this Fall and exact details will be announced soon. Oddly enough, this is not the "official" video for the track. The version that will be aired on music video stations will be debuted in 2 weeks. Anyway, check out the animated version in Windows Media or Quicktime.

The DVD contains live footage from Le Transbordeur in Lyon, France, plus the John Hillcoat directed documentary No More Shall We Part - The Recording Sessions. Extinguished Beats

Prefuse 73 will follow-up One Word Extinguisher with an EP entitled Extinguished: Outtakes, Alternate Takes and Beats from One Word Extinguisher on August 26th. Apparently the EP is more than just outtakes as it will "meld together to produce a totally cohesive document that compels you to listen in one take." Why don't you find out for yourself on the 26th? In other news, Scott Prefuse lent his skills to Amon Tobin for his upcoming vinyl-only Remixes EP, as well as including the track on the Collaborations album. The Strokes Are Back

After jumping back into the studio with Is This It producer Gordon Raphael, The Strokes are set to release their follow-up in October, with a tenative date set for the 21st. The album's first single, which is rumored to be "Supernova", is also expected out October 6th. The band premiered three songs at a recent Summer Sonic show in Japan, though made no mention of the song titles. New songs reportedly recorded by The Strokes include "Supernova", "I Can't Win", "The End Has No End", "Under Control", "Meet Me In The Bathroom", "The Way It Is", "You Talk Way To Much", "Never Needed Anybody", "Ze Newie" and "Raga", but none have been confirmed for the new album. Next month, The Strokes are set for month-long Tuesday-night residency as musical guest for Late Night with Conan O'Brien.
