Remembering Elliott- in a Star-Studded Concert

On November 3, friends, fans, and collegaues of the late Elliott Smith will perform a memorial service/concert at the Henry Fonda Theater in Los Angeles. Conor Oberst (of Bright Eyes), Grandaddy, and Beth Orton are among the acts to perform some of Smith’s songs. Tickets are only $20 and can be purchased through Ticketweb.

Stop the Fires

The aptly named Something Corporate, whose headlining tour in support of their brand new album North was due to start tonight in San Diego, CA, have been forced to postpone tonight's show at SOMA due to the wildfires that are currently ravaging communities across Southern California. The date has been rescheduled for December 18th. Tickets purchased for the October 28th date at SOMA will be honored on December 18th.

The Strokes follow in the footsteps of the White Stripes, who appeared on the Late Night show every Tuesday back in April of this year.
