Trouble in Paradise

Ben Moody, guitarist and co-founder of Evanescence, left for home suddenly right before the band were to play several dates in Germany. Speculation is that there is some discourse within the band, but there is no definite news that he has split for good.

Give The Gift Of Rage

The upcoming Rage Against The Machine CD/DVD set has been split and dates have been changed. The CD will hit stores on November 24th, and will feature a combination of songs from both September 12th's and 13th's performances. Then, on December 9th, the DVD will follow with footage of the entire September 13th concert (serving as a document to the final RATM show), as well as footage from the band's performance outside the Democratic National Convention in 2000. We have the names of the eleven tracks on this album… if that isn’t enough to be excited about, you can expect and enhanced section of the CD that will include a video on the making of said album.

Just to continue keeping you updated, Grüvis Malt have completed mixing their new album. They have yet to "master it, name it, do the artwork, and print in it," but the end is nigh. To celebrate the guys have book a show at the Green Room in Providence, RI on November 21st. Be there for me.

A Whole Bunch Of Apples

It was just a matter of time before someone picked up this story, so thanks to Rolling Stone for using their heavyweight influence and compiling some news on the new Fiona Apple album. As of October 17th, Apple stated, "we're about two weeks from being done." That's good news, given that the album is scheduled for a release in February next year. According to the RS article, the album is set to include 10 tracks. Among the definite set are "Extraordinary," which was described as "a Tin Pan Alley-esque blend of Tom Waits and Vaudeville", and the track "Better," which brought about a RS comparison to Outkast. As Ms. Apple stated herself, indeed the album seems to be "all over the place."
