Engine Down have slated their the fourth LP to be released on August 24th via Lookout! Records. The band has reportedly finished recording and handed the record over, so look for massive amounts of tour dates from them in the near future.

Allen Epley's (of Shiner fame) new band, The Life and Times just reveald that they will be releasing their debut full length on the revived DeSoto Records. John Frusciante fans rejoice! It has been announced that his solo recordings will now be released via the Record Collection label, and there are already six releases scheduled to hit shelves sometime this year. The first will be in stores on June 22nd and is entitled The Will to Death. Expect further releases to feature collaborations with longtime friend Josh Klinghoffer as well as Joe Lally (from Fugazi) under the moniker Ataxia (that comes out August 10th). And that's just info on two of the discs.. expect more in the coming months.
According to a recent announcement, Year of the Rabbit have parted ways with Elektra. While no real official word on if the band is even still together, the announcement says to check kenandrews.com for future news and to snag their merch while you can because they will be collectors items soon. The outlook isn't good, but we felt it was only fair you should know.
In the traditon of cans being emblazoned with ACC championship winners, Miller Brewing Compnay is putting rockstars like Elvis Presley, Alice Cooper, Willie Nelson, and Blondie on commemorative cans. There are Miller sponsored concerts on September 17th and 18th at the Roseland Ballroom in New York City, no word on a can-together thing.
