Rumor is that Daft Punk has done a remix of "Take Me Out" and are waiting for label approval to release it. Also, the sexy Scots will be appearing on Late Night with Conan O'Brien Wednesday, June 16th.
For the first time in 10 years, all of the members of the Wu-Tang Clan will perform live together on July 17th at the Rock The Bells concert at the National Orange Show Pavilion in San Bernadino, CA. Other acts lined up include Redman, Dilated Peoples, Sage Francis, Supernatural, and DJ Nu-Mark of Jurassic 5.
GarageBand.com announced this week that they will offer the Creative Commons Music Sharing License as an option for all songs uploaded to the website. This means that fans will be able to copy and share the songs LEGALLY as long as they do not make commercial uses or alter the songs. The potential is for over 1.8 million songs to be free and legally available to music fans everywhere.
With rumors flying, The Vines have cancelled their upcoming US tour which was set to begin later this month. There has been no official word other than that the band plans on taking a break.

Glen Phillips, former frontman for Toad the Wet Sprocket, former Led Zeppelin bassist John Paul Jones, bluegrass darlings Nickel Creek, and drummer Pete Thomas, Elvis Costello & the Attractions, are hooking up as the Mutual Admiration Society this summer. Metallica had a bit of trouble at this past weekend's Download Festival in England. The band's drummer, Lars Ulrich (the sissy one), got some kind of weird illness and is currently in a German hospital recovering. However, Metallica decided their concert must go on, so they enlisted the help of Slipknot drummer Joey Jordison, Slayer drummer Dave Lombardo, and Ulrich's drum tech. Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds will release their 13th studio album, a double no less, this September entitled Abattoir Blues/The Lyre of Orpheus. This will be the first release since the exit of longtime guitarist Blixa Bargeld (of Einsturzende Neubauten fame). The band plans to tour in support of the album this fall.

You've probably not heard of Portland, OR. based outfit Menomena, but on September 7th you'll have your chance to pick up their album I Am The Fun Blame Monster in stores everywhere. The band also reports that they'll be touring in September and October and releasing a DVD near the end of the year. For more on the band, try your hand traversing their website menomena.com.

News has come that Nick Oliveri, the Queens Of The Stone Age bassist, has completed a 21-track solo acoustic album entitled, All Is Forgotten. The record, which will be released on Duna Records and is comprised of Oliveri on acoustic guitar and acoustic bass, with some horns thrown in for good measure, but no drums. No word on a release date yet.
The X-Ecutioners will release their new album, Revolutions, this Spring and the record features an allstar lineup that includes: Black Thought, Ghostface Killah, Dead Prez, Fat Joe, Cypress Hill and many more. We have audio streams for the album in Quicktime and a full list of tour dates below.
