The remaining members of INXS have entered into a deal with reality TV guru Mark Burnett to do a show called Rock Star. In the show, competitors will be vying for the part of new lead singer for the 80s Aussie supergroup. Original lead singer Michael Hutchence died in 1997.
There are two new Spoon demo's on their website available for download. "I Summon You" and "Sister Jack" are expected to appear on the band's forthcoming LP.

Tweaker has announced a summer tour in support of his latest album, 2am Wake Up Call. Tweaker is Chris Vrenna (formerly of NIN), and the new album centers around his wife's prolonged bout with insomnia, during which she would wake up every night at 2am. Weird. Check those dates below:
Will Ferrell is a back this summer with a new comedy, Anchorman - Legend of Ron Burgundy. The movie will be in theaters July 11th but you can catch the ‘70s songs filled soundtrack compilation in stores on June 29th. The amazing live music tradition Austin City Limits is throwing their 3rd annual festival September 17-19 in Austin with over 130 performers from all genres of music. The list of acts is mindblowing, including everyone from Phish guitarist Trey Anastasio and Medeski Martin & Wood to the Beta Band and the Pixies. Comedian/actor Dave Chappelle is apparently in talks to play singer Rick James in a film based on James' autobiography Memoirs of a Super Freak. It's a move that seems totally fitting in the wake of his skit on Chappelle's Show. I guess sometimes art can actually imitate art.
