The new album from Badly Drawn Boy entitled One Plus One is One will be out in the Us July 27th. This will mark the Boy's debut with Astralwerks and will feature two extra tracks, "Don't Ask Me I'm Only the President" and "Plan B."
To help promote the release of their new DVD, Corporate Ghost: Videos, 1990-2002, Sonic Youth have made all 23 of their videos available on iFilm along with interviews with director Spike Jonze, bandmembers and others. Check them all out here.

Pepper, the San Diego-by-way-of-Kona, Hawaii dub-rock trio, have just announced the initial dates on their first ever national headlining tour. Their latest offering, In With The Old, was produced by Ron St. Germaine (311, Bad Brains, The Cult) and is in stores now on Volcom.
Pearl Jam have announced that they will release Live At Benaroya Hall, a double disc live CD recoded on October 22. 2003. The 24-track CD captures an acoustic set the band performed at the Seattle venue in association with the local aid organization Youthcare. More details below.

According to the band's official website (and an email tip), The Eels have been dropped from the Interscope Records roster. The band was absorbed by Interscope after Dreamworks folded up into the parent of both labels, Universal. The band still plans to release a new album in 2005.
The (International) Noise Conspiracy are on tour all summer and on Monday the 21st you can find the brand new single “Black Mask” in your local record store. The single includes 2 new songs from the Rick Rubin recording session and the video should start spinning on TV stations soon. Also check out the new E-card that features four tracks from the new album.
Revolution Smile have announced that they recently parted ways with their record label Flawless Records. The band sited the split as a positive one and said they currently have around 15 new songs that are in the demoed stage. Rev. Smile is said to be talking with labels about the releasing some new music and in the meantime will be doing some dates on the Warped Tour.

New music from the men of Duran Duran is on the horizon. All 5 original members are back and are working with producers Rich Harrison and Don Gilmore on a new album slated for an October release. The disc will be bundled with a one-hour DVD showcasing their recent two-night stint at Wembley Arena.
Looks like Sub Pop rockers All Night Radio have split due to "creative differences." On a more pointed note, Jimi Hey had this to say recently: "If you want your band to last, don't let someone your bandmate is fucking become the band's manager." Eeep!
Sonic Youth has announced dates for their summer tour in support of Sonic Nurse. They'll be in Australia for June but come back to the States for extensive touring, including Lollapalooza dates, in July & August.
Bassist/vocalist Les Claypool, guitarist Buckethead, durmmer Brain & keyboardist Bernie Worrell have joined up to form the cheekily named Col. Claypool's Bucket Of Bernie Brains, and their debut album, The Big Eyeball in the Sky, comes out September 7th.
Currently half-way through a US tour en-route to Australia, Mclusky have just confirmed return dates for Europe in the Autumn. An appearance at Reading and Leeds Festival will pre-empt the release of the second single from their new album, the track "She Will Only Bring You Happiness", set for release on September 6th. Can you believe it's been 20 years since Prince's Purple Rain came into our lives? To celebrate this funky event, Warner Home Video will release a 2-disc special anniversary edition on August 24th. There will be lots of goodies and extras with the set including audio comment, featurettes, and no less than 7 videos.

The part had originally gone to the Vines; however, with this new engagement, Sparta has left Lollapalooza.
