Various rap luminaries including Musiq, Jadakiss, Floetry, and Nate Dogg have all joined together for the song entitled, "Wake up Everybody". Why do you care? About Freakin' Time

Universal Records has announced plans to release the long-long-long-long-long awaited Nirvana box set on November 23rd of this year. While no tracklisting has been formally released, the set is to include 3 discs containing the "hits", live performances, and up to 50 unreleased gems. Limited editions of the set will also include a 4th disc that will be a DVD of previously unseen live footage, including the band's first ever performance at a house party waaaaaay back in 1987.

Trail of Dead forge head

Despite their delayed album, ...And You Will Know Us By The Trail of Dead have announced a load of tour dates with Forget Cassettes in tow. Some of the venues are still TBA but if you live in one of those towns, just keep an eye on the local papers. You won't want to miss the shows.

On Saturday night after their show, Engine Down's van and trailer were stolen from the parking lot of the Red Roof Inn on the NW Freeway in Houston, TX. All of their gear, 3 laptop computers, cameras, merchandise and personal items are all gone. We want to send our thoughts out to our friends in Engine Down, and we encourage you to use this webpage to donate some money to the band to help them replace their gear. As well, don't forget to pick up their recently released, self-titled album, which happened to be their Lookout! Records debut -- every little bit helps!

Ian + Noel = Manchester Style

Two legends of Manchester music have come together to pull off one fantastic tune. The song, "Keep What Ya Got," is the collaboration of ex-Stone Roses frontman Ian Brown and Oasis' creative maestro Noel Gallagher and will be on Ian's next album. Unfortunately, no word yet on whether Solarized will even get a release date stateside, but in the meantime, dig on the video.

Apple today launched the iTunes Affiliate Program, which basically offers affiliate websites direct links to a la carte singles and albums who in turn get paid commissions. The program will complement other iTunes programs including iTunes on Campus, offering free site licenses to colleges and universities, and the iTunes Volume Discount Program, providing bulk song downloads at a discount.
