In an announcement made today, the Eels will be releasing their new album Blinking Lights and Other Revelations on April 26, 2005. This is a worldwide release via Interscope/Universal Vagrant Records. The real kick in the pants? It's a 33-track double album. We'll let you know the tracklisting when we get it.

Kasabian In My Pocket

Boston street punks The Unseen have just signed with Hellcat Records and will release their new full length studio album produced by Dropkick Murphys Ken Casey early this summer. In addition, The Unseen will be on tour beginning February 1st, co-headlining for two weeks with Strike Anywhere, and then a headlining tour for a month with Ramallah and Brain Failure supporting.

More Music From Ray

With the smash film Ray continuing to rack up box office receipts, Rhino is releasing a second soundtrack to accompany the film entitled, More Music From Ray. The 17-song album, which collects songs from the film and inspired by the film, will include a version of "Baby Let Me Hold Your Hand" and a medley of "Drown In My Own Tears"/"You Don't Know Me” as well as a bonus DVD featuring classic performance footage from O-Genio: Ray Charles Live In Brazil 1963.

Despite the tone of the message on their website, according to their record label, Mclusky have not completely disbandedand. "Andy Falkous and drummer Jack Egglestone will continue work on what was to become the fourth Mclusky album next year." An as yet untitled interim release is planned for May that will be a collection of the bands singles and b-sides.

All For A Good Cause

It seems the benefit concerts are in full effect. If you are in Los Angeles, be sure and check out Beck and the Music For Relief benefit on January 17th at The Wiltern. Beck will be joined by Josh Homme from Queens of the Stone Age, Eddie Vedder, Tenacious D and Will Ferrell. You can find ticketing and other info at the official Wiltern LG site and in case you haven't figured it out, the event will raise money for victims of the tsunamis in Southeast Asian.
