Pretty Girls Make Graves are almost finished with their third album, so see them on tour in the US (first set of dates) then again in the UK (supporting Bloc Party).
Tori Amos will be on your television soon promoting her new book and album. When, you ask? 2/17 on Late Night with David Letterman, 2/19 - Weekend Today, and 2/22 - Live with Regis and Kelly.
Ryan Adams is set to release 3, thats right, 3 new albums this year. The first one, entitled Cold Roses, will be a double CD with his band the Cardinals. It will be released on April 19. The other two albums have names - Jacksonville and 29 - but no release date has been given. Stay tuned for details on those as they emerge.
The folks at Urban Outfitters are putting out a compilation that can be purchased in their stores and online with 100% of the proceeds going to the UNICEF Tsunami Relief Fund. Looks pretty sweet, with artists like Death Cab For Cutie, Franz Ferdinand, Interpol, My Morning Jacket, Wilco and several others providing tracks.

Having just returned home from a tour of Europe, the Briefs have announced tour plans for the next couple of months, which includes a handful of dates with Flogging Molly and Tsunami Bomb as well as a Las Vegas show with Bouncing Souls and Me First and the Gimme Gimmes among others.

Fountains of Wayne will appear on NBC's series, American Dreams, as the 1960s British-invasion band The Hollies. In the episode, which is scheduled to air Sunday, March 20th (8-9 p.m. ET, NBC), the band will play a cover of The Hollies' first North American hit song "Bus Stop" on the show's version of Dick Clark's American Bandstand.

Juliette Lewis and the Licks are heading into the studio in late January to record a full-length, self-produced album, due May 31 on Fiddler Records. Meanwhile, the band’s five-song EP, Like a Bolt of Lightning, which was made available online Oct. 12, will hit store shelves on Jan. 25, 2005. The retail version will include a video for “Shelter Your Needs” as well as the hidden track “Get Your Tongue Wet.”

Holy S***! Trip-Hop pioneers Portishead are working on a new album. It's been 8 years, but apparently according to numerous sources, Geoff Barrow and Beth Gibbons are working together in the studio and an album is anticipated for late this year.
Britpop legends Oasis are set to release their new album, rumored to have the working title Don't Believe the Truth sometime in mid-May. However, being a bit of an avid Oasis fan, I still wouldn't take that date as gospel truth. Regardless, it's on the way.
