Swedish insane geniuses Meshuggah have finished production on their upcoming release Catch 33, which will be released through Nuclear Blast on May 31st. The album is said to be made up of one solitary 47 minute track. Did I mention that they were insane?

Feersum Ennjin Debut EP

Today marks the release of Silent Uproar Record's latest release, an EP from Feersum Ennjin. Head over to the band's official site to hear a song from the album and read a little more about this great new band from Paul D'Amour (formerly of Tool) and Mac Burrus (formerly of Self). The disc was recorded by Matt Mahaffey (Self), and Matt also contributed quite a bit musically to the disc. Check it out.

K-LON Radio, Now Video

Queens of the Stone Age's Lullabies is still due March 22nd. Shirley Manson (Garbage), Brody Dalle (the Distillers), Dean Ween (uh, Ween), and Billy Gibbons (ZZ Top) are still on it. That much you knew. But you might not have known that QOTSA shot a video for the album's first single, "Little Sister," in L.A. this past weekend, and that it was co-directed by Homme and Nathan "Karma" Cox and their videos are usually rad, so check it.

Spoon disc due in May

The fifth full-length release from Spoon will be available on May 10 via Merge Records and is entitled Gimme Fiction and will contain 11 tracks. No show dates (beyond Coachella) have been announced yet but we're fairly sure it will happen.

Coachella 2005 lineup

The lineup for the 2005 Coachella festival has been announced, and it's quite impressive. Two days, April 30 - May 1st, of a crapload of great artists including the headliners Coldplay (April 30) and Nine Inch Nails (May 1). Also among the list of acts you can also expect to see Bauhaus, Wilco, Secret Machines, Fantomas, MF Doom, Autolux, Weezer, Arcade Fire, Blood Brothers and many many more. Tickets will be on sale soon, so keep an eye on the official site. In the meantime, check out the full lineup....

Are You an Early Man?

Early Man (Mike Conte on guitar and vocals and Adam Bennati on drums) has now been signed to Matador Records, and their upcoming EP from Baltimore's Monitor Records will be but a taste of what's to come. If you want to preview the band (live) then check out the ATP in Camber Sands, England, South By Southwest in Texas, and following that with a full US tour. Their debut album for Matador (produced by Chavez' Matt Sweeney) is scheduled for an Autumn 2005 release. Their official website should be finished soon.

Kanye Gets Busy

Kanye West will perform at the House of Blues Sunset Strip in Los Angeles for the second annual American Express "Jam Sessions" February 9th to 12th, which isn't to promote the credit card but rather music education, which he'll school us in (bad bad segue) with another performance at this year's Grammy's (2/13) with Mavis Staples, Blind Boys of Alabama and Legend.

Maroon Honda Civic Gives Donnas Thrills

I'm sick of Maroon 5, but you might want to know that they will headline the Honda Civic tour, which starts on 3/11 in Los Angeles and ends 5/11 in Phoenix. The Donnas will open for the band, with the Thrills taking over on April 15th.
