Former Weezer bassist Mikey Welch has turned up in a Boston studio, recording with a band fronted by ex-Mighty Mighty Bosstones guitarist Nate Albert. Welch seems happy to be there: "It's actually fun to just be playing in the studio without some major-label idiot standing over your shoulder," he says.
