Fiery Furnace Prepares Solo Debut

As the brother half of the Fiery Furnaces equation, Matt Friedberger has established himself as a worthy contender for a solo jaunt. The newly established 859 Recordings is taking him up on the offer, and will release Friedberger's debut Winter Women/Holy Ghost Language School on August 8th.

The record will be a two-disc affair, with Winter Women compiling Friedberger's poppier, more summer-friendly side. Holy Ghost Language School will be quite the contrary -- backwards guitars, sampling -- all the experimentation he's dealt with as a Furnace.
