Radiohead Part Ways With Nigel Godrich

In a recent interview with Radio 1, Ed O'Brien of Radiohead revealed the group are in talks with Mike "Spike" Stent to produce their forthcoming album. Stent has worked with a wide range of artists, including Madonna, U2, Bjork and Massive Attack, but is most sought after for his mixing talents (check out this Sound on Sound article for the lowdown). According to O'Brien, the amiable decision to part ways with long-time producer/friend Nigel Godrich was made to not allow themselves the comfort zone they've been operating in for the past 10 years.
