The Magic Numbers Are Magical

Reported by simple

The Magic Numbers’ self-titled debut will hit U.S. stores October 4th; however, the group is already off to a nice start with a Mercury Prize nomination, Platinum certification in the U.K., and a spot in Rolling Stone’s recent “10 Artists To Watch” feature. The band will open 12 shows on Bright Eyes’ upcoming U.S. tour and that they’ll make their U.S. television debut on “Late Night with Conan O’Brien” on November 30th. The band will also headline a series of U.S. club dates this fall. Check out some music here.

The Magic Numbers are: Romeo Stodart (guitar, vocals), Michele Stodart (bass, vocals), Sean Gannon (drums) and Angela Gannon (melodica, glockenspiel, vocals). The Stodarts were born in Trinidad, moved to New York as teens and then to West London, where they met up with the Gannons. Since their fall 2003 club debut, they’ve opened for Brian Wilson, U2, Saint Etienne, Travis, Doves and numerous other artists.
