Rhino Records has set the September 27th release of the boxed set, Just Say Sire: The Sire Records Story. The label revered for breaking Madonna, the Ramones, and scores of other groundbreaking artists gets the treatment it deserves with this three-CD plus one-DVD retrospective.
Co-produced by Sire founder Seymour Stein, the set gathers 61 audio tracks and 20 videos from such signature acts as Madonna, Pretenders, Ice-T, The Replacements, Depeche Mode, Lou Reed, English Beat, Ministry, Talking Heads, The Cure, The Smiths, My Bloody Valentine, Wilco, and many more. An expansive booklet includes rare photos, essays, and tributes from artists and industry icons.
