Former Alice In Chains guitarist, now Cardboard Vampyres guitarist (more on that below) Jerry Cantrell has been a busy bee. Read on for details on his current projects.
According to MTV.com, Cantrell has been writing a good bit and working with other people, or, as he told MTV, "[He's] just been stockpiling [his] warheads." Mr. Cantrell has been working with the likes of Metallica bassist Robert Trujillo, Alice in Chains' Sean Kinney and Mike Inez, and Faith No More's Mike Bordin, who played drums on Cantrell's Degradation Trip. Jerry's album's release should be in early 2006, even though he has no label ties. In recent weeks, Cantrell said he's been working with Courtney Love on "some stuff for her next solo album... I know Billy Corgan's been over there." Cantrell's new band Cardboard Vampyres are playing a few dates (at the more) and is made of Cult bassist Chris Wyse, Jellyfish vocalist Eric Dover and Danzig/ Comes With the Fall drummer Bevan Davies.
