Flower15 Goes Live

Reported by simple

Flower Booking is pleased to announce Flower15, a six-night showcase and fundraiser to take place November 8th through the 13th at the Metro in Chicago. The event - a celebration of 15 years of independent success - will feature appearances by Local H, Isis, Ted Leo/Pharmacists, Jimmy Eat World, and a reunion by The Promise Ring with many more artists and band reunions to be announced.

In 2000, Flowerbooking stated their intention to commemorate their ten-year anniversary with a series of concerts held at Chicago's Metro. The event was a great success, showcasing the company's diverse roster while donating 100% of the ticket sales after costs to local charity P.L.A.Y (Possibilities in Life: Art for Youth), a start up organization which aimed to "provide creative outlets for children and teens who have been exposed to abusive and violent environments." A total of $18,000 was raised.

It's now five years later and Flower has grown substantially, handling tours for such luminaries as Jimmy Eat World, Underoath, Pinback, Pelican, Tortoise, and Interpol as well as producing tour properties such as TAKE ACTION TOUR and The Comedians of Comedy. In the past year they were nominated for the "Boutique Agency of the Year" POLLSTAR award, watched Jimmy Eat World earn a platinum record, and just finished the most successful TAKE ACTION TOUR to date with over $65,000 raised for the 1-800-Suicide Hotline!

So it's time to party and this fall Flowerbooking will take over the Metro yet again, this time running shows both day and night for an incredible six dates with special band reunions and other surprises. This time around the goal is to raise $50,000 or more for P.L.A.Y. to fund program expansion in order to bring art and music classes to abused children in the Chicago area foster care system.
