A Visionary Dies
Reported by simple
Unfortunately another sad death to report. Warp Records co-founder Rob Mitchell died earlier this week following a battle against cancer. Mitchell had a visionary approach to dance music and launched the career of artists including Aphex Twin, Squarepusher, and Two Lone Swordsmen. A statement, posted on the official Warp Records website, reads: "It feels strange posting this news on our website but we want to stop any unnecessary speculation. Co-founder of Warp Records Rob Mitchell passed away on Monday morning 8th October after a hard-fought battle with cancer. "This is obviously a very sad time for us and all who knew Rob. Everyone here at Warp will continue to build on what Rob has given us." Silent Uproar offers our thoughts and prayers to Rob's family.
