Cake vs. OJ

Reported by sicarii

Beware those who throw plastic bottles at Cake's John McCrea whilst he's performing. When an empty plastic bottle of orange juice nearly took his eye out during the band's performance at the 1st Annual Guinness and Oyster Festival in Berkeley, Calif., on Saturday (Sept. 22), McCrea stopped the show, hopped off stage and into the crowd, and hauled the culprit on stage to ask why he had done it. Obviously embarrassed, the 311 T-shirt-clad teen responded, "I'm sorry, sir. I didn't mean anything by it." McCrea accepted his apology, but skimmed the orange juice bottle at the offender's head as security escorted him off stage. Moral of the story: Don't throw orange juice bottles at John McCrea OR make sure they are full enough to knock him out when you do.
