Artists reactions
Reported by yewknee
Loads and loads of artists have posted their reactions to our nations tragic events on their website around the nation. Among the more notable are Limp Bizkit who's Wes Borland pleaded to anyone who reads his message not to practice racial hatred towards "Middle Eastern-looking" people. Madonna held moments of silence at her concerts in LA and asked the crowd to "think globally." Alanis Morisette wrote a long letter on her site and is organizing a benefit concert. System Of A Down extended their deepest sympathies and asked everyone to focus on positive energies. Michael Jackson is organizing a collaboration of artists on a song called "What More Can I Give" to be used for benefit and relief funds (expect all the typical pop stars on that one). Incubus is donating all their proceeds from their Hammerstein Ballroom shows in NY. Godsmack is offering all it's merchandise sales from it's NY and PA shows. U2 asked people to please donate to the Red Cross. David Bowie, Pearl Jam, PJ Harvey, REM, Charlatans UK, Mike Watt, Sting, Pennywise, Remy Zero, Slayer, and Unified Theory all extended their deepest symapthies and best wishes for everyone (as well as many many other artists).
