Well once again when I woke up this morning, things still don't seem right. So in my never ending search for news I came across this quote from Rivers of Weezer. The band is trying to decide whether or not to go ahead with their show in Oakland, and Rivers said: "I want to do something about all this, but the only thing I can do is play music…." That just really made a lot of sense to me for some reason. We can't all directly help the people in NY and DC, sure everyone needs to go give blood and donate to the Red Cross, but I think it is equally important that people do things to try and bring the spirit of America back up. I don't see it as trivializing 9-11's events, I see it as saying, alright, we will prevail and we are not going to live in this state of somberness forever. So the Weezer show will go as planned and I say, rock on America, rock on.
