PJ Harvey's latest album, "Stories From the City, Stories From the Sea" has won the 2001 Technics Mercury Music Award. Harvey was unable to make the ceremony due to the events yesterday, but phoned from Washington DC to accept the award. "Obviously I would just like to say thank you very much, I can genuinely say I'm absolutely shocked, I had no idea and no expectation I would get this," said Harvey. "My band and I are in tour in Washington DC at the moment we woke up this morning and the whole city is in a state of shock. It is a very surreal day. All I can say is thank you very much I'm absolutely stunned."
