Merge Records has announced a 4-night 19-band birthday bash for themselves to celebrate the 15-year anniversary of the label. Events will take place from July 29th through August 1st, with shows at Cat's Cradle in Chapel Hill, NC and the Carolina Theatre in Durham NC. The performers for each night of the event are listed below along with ticketing info. The label will also be releasing a compilation entitled, Old Enough To Know Better (out July 13th) to celebrate this milestone.

Old Enough To Know Better is a monster of a 3-disc set: the first two discs will be comprised of "Merge Classics" from the first fifteen fabulous years, and the third disc will contain all rare and previously unreleased tracks, many recorded specifically for this compilation...over 60 songs in all, and over 3 hours of music! All wrapped up in some fantastic David Horvath artwork you gotta see...

Concert Info:

Advance tickets will be made available on May 1st. Full 4-day passes will be sold via the Merge website (www.mergerecords.com) for $55. Individual tickets for each night will be sold through the Cat's Cradle website (www.catscradle.com). If purchased individually, Thursday-Saturday tickets will be $15 per show, and tickets for Sunday.s show will be $18. We are trying to set up some other periphery events around the shows as well, and hope to have more news on those soon.

So make your plans to come on out and help us kick start the next 15 years of Merge!! You are encouraged to plan ahead and purchase your tickets as soon as you can, as these anniversary events have a history of selling out in advance.
