Music for Human Rights

Reported by simple

Amnesty International USA has created a new CD entitled Music for Human Rights which is not available in stores, but instead will be sent to new Amnesty International members upon joining. A new online hub and the CD are the first offerings under the Amnesty International Music for Human Rights® umbrella. The disc features Radiohead, Coldplay, Beth Orton, Aimee Mann, Ryan Adams, Badly Drawn Boy, and others along with an interactive multimedia digital art piece by Fischerspooner.

The Music for Human Rights CD also marks the debut of REVBOY, an anonymous collective of musicians and artists dedicated to preserving free speech and artistic expression. The participants have been responsible for the sale of millions of CDs, yet for politically sensitive reasons they have chosen to remain anonymous. REVBOY hand-picked Amnesty International USA to be the recipient of their first publicly distributed track, "Lean On Me" - the initial spark that is sure to have inquiring minds asking WHO IS REVBOY?
