A Whole Bunch Of Apples
Reported by heyrevolver
It was just a matter of time before someone picked up this story, so thanks to Rolling Stone for using their heavyweight influence and compiling some news on the new Fiona Apple album. As of October 17th, Apple stated, "we're about two weeks from being done." That's good news, given that the album is scheduled for a release in February next year. According to the RS article, the album is set to include 10 tracks. Among the definite set are "Extraordinary," which was described as "a Tin Pan Alley-esque blend of Tom Waits and Vaudeville", and the track "Better," which brought about a RS comparison to Outkast. As Ms. Apple stated herself, indeed the album seems to be "all over the place."
In other news, Apple is set to appear on another collaboration with Johnny Cash. This time it will be a posthumous, five-disc Johnny Cash box set, titled Unearthed. Apple duets with Cash on "Father and Son", which can be found on the third disc. Watch for Unearthed in stores on November 25th.
