Said The Shotgun To The Head

Reported by heyrevolver

Saul Williams is set to return to the commerical world, but instead of musician he will reassume the role of poet. His new book, ,said the shotgun to the head, "is an epic poem in the voice of a mumbling homeless man, a sort of modern age John The Baptist, who tells of the coming of a female messiah that he has known intimately." Zack De La Rocha has called the poem "an invitation to live and die in the moment, a confrontation of the politics of empire, a dare to transform oneself in the face of fear and a post 9-11 love song all in one." The book is set for a September 2nd release date through MTV Books.
