Behind Politics Lies Emotion

Daron Malakian, guitarist of System of a Down, is diving into the writing process for System of a Down's next album with extra urgency, according to this bit on RollingStone.com. Malakian's grandmother, uncles and other extended family live in Iraq. "When America bombed Iraq, it was real tough for me," he says. "It brought out a lot of material -- not necessarily political, but emotional material." Malakian recently launched his EatUrMusic label with the signing of avant metal band Amen.
