Then It's C'est La Vie, We'll Be History
Reported by holmes
Boston's The Sheila Divine have officially called it quits. Jim, the band's bassist, posted on their message board about the situation which can be found by clicking [more]. If you're free in October and can make it to Boston, make it up their to catch their final shows.
Jim's message:
A) We are disbanding. You all deserve to know that. It was a difficult and mutually defined decision.
B) There is a part of each one of us that wishes this was not the decision we had to make. Our booking agent Trish has been with us since day one. We were her first band. Rich Wall played the shit out of the very first Hum single. We don't know when we'll get to go back to Belgium. There is plenty of sadness about this.
C) Please refer to the Rolling Stone blurb for your historical reference point of this band. To be nationally recognized as an integral part of the best local scene in America is truly a triumph. Hell, they used the words 'legend' and 'transcend' in the same sentence. We are very proud.
D) We are all looking to the future with great excitement. You will always be able to count on this space for info on what the band members are up to. We also plan to free up more server space so that music and photos will be more readily available.
E) Thank you for your support and loyalty to the band. We will always firmly believe that we have the best fans in the world. Ultimately, it will be your presence that we miss the most.
F) We have dates held at the Paradise in October. See you there...
