DeSoto bands falling apart left and right...

Reported by yewknee

Well, first Shiner broke up and now it seems that The Dismemberment Plan has decided to call it quits. Their official site says that there "will not be a next album" and that the songs they had currently been working on will probably show up on a solo disc of singer Travis Morrison. The band plans to finish playing the shows they have booked through this winter season, put out their remix record on DeSoto, and are even considering touring the US one last time. Obviously there are no hard feelings (as they aren't dropping the ball completely) but the only explanation given is that they feel as though they've accomplished all they could as a songwriting and recordmaking unit. Best of luck to them in all their future endeavors, even though it is sad to see them go.
