Whew! It's been a long time since a Beastie Boys update, and thank every deity that there is one today, courtesy of the new issue of SPIN magazine. According to SPIN and the Beastie Boys' rep, the powerful three have laid beats down and are working on lyrics, which is a year off target from what we originally hoped. The Beastie Boys, not Cheech and Chong, are hoping to be kickin' that album live with you later this year, so G-e-t-l-i-v-e, aiight? (Anyone who can count how many lyrics of ze Beasties I referenced in this post will get a free ice cream cone.)
