Ani Evolution Going On
Reported by erun
The very righteous babe Ani DiFranco will release her next studio album, Evolve, on March 11th. The album will be her twelfth release (and first studio since, oh, way back in 2001) in the thirteen years- Impressive, eh? DiFranco has again enlisted her regular band, including longtime collaborator, keyboardist/vocalist Julie Wolf, basist Jason Mercer, drummer Daren Hahn, a trio of trumpeters (Ravi Best, Shane Endsley and Todd Horton) and reedman Hans Teuber, so if they get famous soon you'll know where they started. Two of the album's twelve songs may still sound familiar, according to RollingStone.com: "In the Way" and "Slide" were both included among the footage on Render: Spending Time With Ani DiFranco, last year's DVD/VHS release.
