According to their official website, Sunny Day Real Estate have broken up for an indefinite amount of time. The band met with difficulty in promotion and management during their last record and have decided to split to relieve personal tensions. The final sentence of the post on the website states: "I wouldn't count them out forever (wink wink nudge nudge), but for now, lets enjoy all the music they've given us and wish them luck on their future endeavors." So, there's hope for the future but the respective members of the band have already started looking for other projects.
