Guns and Guns and Neurotica no more

Reported by ben

While the band legally allowed to use the name Guns N' Roses is out on tour (and despite a rough start is apparently "kicking ass and taking names"), another band is beginning to form out of all the important former members. Who knows what the band will be called, but Slash, Matt Sorum, Izzy Stradlin, and Duff McKagen are back together and looking for a singer. A few people have been rumored to be in the running for Axl's vacated spot including Pat Briggs of Psychotica, Kelly Shaefer of Neurotica (thank God there isn't a band called Schizophrenica), A. Jay Popoff from Lit, Shelly from Broken, and Courtney Love (poop in my shoe). Coincidentally or not, Neurotica just broke up. More?

From the Neurotica official site:Kelly Shaefer has formally disbanded Neurotica in spite of being named by Rolling Stone magazine as one of the top 10 bands of Ozzfest 2002. Neurotica had recently asked to be let out of their contract with the WWE's Smackdown Records when it became apparent that Smackdown was unwilling to market and promote music other than compilation and wrestling themed recordings. Shaefer was recently in L.A.'s Rumbo Studios cutting vocal tracks with ex-Guns and Roses members, Slash, Duff McKagan, Izzy Stradlin and Matt Sorum. In addition, Shaefer has begun writing and auditioning players for his own, yet unnamed, new band. WATCH FOR IT IN EARLY 2003!
