No War in Iraq! (Page is Limp)

Reported by ben

Well, at least that is the sentiment of a group of activists who briefly sabotaged Fred Durst's most recent appearance on TRL Thursday. I know this might sound weird, but apparently the group of 8 youngsters believed that bringing up the fate hundreds of thousands of people was more important than thirty seconds of Fred Durst talking about how slammin' his band's next record is going to be. I wonder if the activist's were counting on Durst announcing that Page Hamilton is helping out on guitar duties on this upcoming (and apparently groundbreaking) album. That breaks my heart, but maybe he has rent to pay. Anyway, the activists interrupted the show, took to the stage, and informed the crowd that they had an important announcement. "We have to tell Congress to stop the war... We're standing with people around the world against the war...Not in our name will you kill more people in an unjust war!" Those were some of the statements made before MTV decided that their announcement wasn't as important (profitable) as they had promised and security removed them from the building. (as a side note, I got this info mostly from Chartattack.com, which you might know is a Canadian run site...)
