Thanks Are In Order

Reported by heyrevolver

Obviously, thanks to Pitchfork for bringing this topic back into everyone's attention, but a few key elements were missing from the story. Yes, the new Portishead album, tentatively titled Alien, is slated for release during winter 2002 - 2003. Futhermore, Beth Gibbons will release her solo album, Out of Season, on October 28th. As previously reported, Gibbons recorded the "largely acoustic" album with former Talk Talk member Paul "Rustin Man" Webb. Yeah... well, that's great, but where can I hear it? If you happen to be interested in hearing the Out of Season tracks, head over to bethgibbons.com and preview 30-second clips of every cut (as well as plenty of other goodies). Also, thanks to this guy for posting on the Portishead BBS about the new album back in May (someone just forgot to post about it on SU... it was really late and I wasn't really thinking, so, whoopsie!). For more details on both projects, you know where to go...
