Whole Lotta Love On the Run

If you picked up this weeks US Weekly magazine (with new marrieds Gwen (No Doubt) and Gavin (Bush) on the cover) you'll read that a suspiciously more surgically-enhanced Courtney Love has been working on new material with ex- 4 Non Blonde Linda Perry (who worked with Pink and that Christina Agulblah blah) for her upcoming solo project. Then, if you went over to NME.com, you got more on this solo stuff, which was that Courtney's new deal with Geffen also means means she will be free to release her material, and that a single from the former Hole frontwoman has been set for release through Alan McGee's Poptones label before Christmas. What "deal" with Geffen, you ask? Under the terms of an agreement, Love will receive a multi-million-dollar advance on the projected earnings of forthcoming Nirvana archival releases. ("She just wants to love herself") The trial is actually set for Tuesday, but the Hollywood reporter says that Courtney & Geffen are pretty close to signing on this deal. But no ones gives a flying f*** about Courtney- What's the Nirvana news? According to NME the industry is rife with rumours about just what format these releases will take, but it is widely accepted that some form of Nirvana Greatest Hits will be issued before Christmas (you knew). "You Know Your Right", the much spoken about "lost" song by Nirvana has been not only leaked on the internet, but now radio stations are playing it, much to Courtney's chagrin.
